Council Wants Flat to Have Parking Basement

City Council (DPRD) revealed that the flat tower construction in the capital should be completed with a parking basement.

"It would be better if the parking space is built in the basement," disclosed Pandapotan Sinaga, member of DPRD Commission D, Wednesday (1/11).

"I see there is a flat with six floors, whereas it could be made into 16 floors," he stated.
Responding on this matter, Section Head of Jakarta Public Housing and Residential Dept, Budhi Darmawan explains, the flat construction with parking basement will be expensive from cost side. In future, the flat with 16 floors must have parking basement on the ground floor.
"Surely it's expensive. This can be much more expensive if there is flood problem and so on," he disclosed.
